Guianan Toucanet (Limited Edition Print)

This is a small member of the toucan family that is usually seen feeding on fruiting trees on rainforest edges in north-western Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is tropical humid lowland forests.
My inspiration for this piece (and the others in this series) is the historical bird illustrators of the 19th Century, particularly Edward Lear, Audubon and Gould.
The original illustration was created with professional, lightfast coloured pencils and acrylic paint on archival pastelmat board.
Colours may vary slightly due to differences in monitor calibrations.
All prints are personally signed and numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.
